Sharenjoy is a crowdsurance for millennials attending entertainment events. Sharenjoy insures experiences at low cost and on the go.
Can you introduce yourself?
My name is Alberto Mera, I’m the CEO of Sharenjoy Europe. We were born in Spain as Sharenjoy, and now we are here expanding our business, hence Sharenjoy Europe. Alongside me, there is Mattias who is the COO of the company back in Spain, and Paco who is in charge of Marketing back in Spain as well.
What does Sharenjoy do?
We insure experiences. We realized that no one insurers experiences. Customers buy tickets for something, such as live music, which is our main focus at the moment, and if they miss this event, they may get their money back, but they miss out on the experience. So we are insuring these experiences and eliminating FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out).
What is your favorite thing about your job?
My favorite thing about my job is that I get to meet so many people and talk about our idea all the time, so we get to refine what we’re doing every single day, and improve upon that rhetoric. I enjoy that.
What’s something you’ve learned since you’ve been here in the program?
Stories are cool, but numbers are even better. That is one of the main things I’ve learned. As a newborn startup, it’s all about the story, but then when you start growing, and going into other markets, numbers start to be really important and relevant.
