Volkswagen is feeling the pressure from their international markets to produce a cheaper car model. They are learning that the attention to detail that they have in their German and European markets is not necessarily needed or wanted in the Chinese market. This is a good example of catering to multiple markets but still remaining true to your brand. Not every customer segment and/or place that you sell your products or services will appreciate the same features. Learning all customs and desires of each group of customers is crucial.
