CHARLEVOIX — A branding presentation was still heard by the Charlevoix Main Street/Downtown Development Authority on Monday, despite not having a quorum for the meeting.
Because members of the public and a representative from a5, the branding firm from Chicago hired to develop the new Charlevoix logo, were in attendance on Monday, city manager Mark Heydlauff said the board stayed to hear the presentations.
“The board and the public were able to ask questions, but the board will have to set a special meeting to conduct formal business,” Heydlauff said.
Fletcher Martin, creative director for a5 — the branding and digital firm out of Chicago — presented two concepts about the new Charlevoix brand to the public and Main Street/Downtown Development Authority board to consider.
Before the presentation, Heydlauff explained to those in attendance that “Charlevoix the Beautiful” was not going to be eliminated with these new concepts, only refreshed.
